It is the teachers job to present information to the students of the classroom. It is not their job to decide what music is good or bad for their students so they must present unbiased information at all times. The music that begins to influence the students will also begin to shape their identity. The teacher does not create or influence the identity of the students but they get a chance to view music based on their own musical experiences.

I agree that it is our jobs as teachers to show students the many different types of music out there. If we act negativly toward the music then the students will pick up on that. So even when presenting the music there can be issues. I remeber we had a conversation on this earlier where we were talking about just clicking and listening to all types of music at home so that you could get a more well rounded ear before you bring it into the classroom.
